The primary objective of the Level 1 French-as-a-foreign language program is to help students develop their linguistic proficiency and cultural sensitivity. By interweaving language and culture, the program seeks to broaden students' communication skills while at the same time deepening their appreciation of other cultures. The program is an integration of thematically related video, audio and text activities leading to complete language development. The program is designed to accommodate all students by appealing to a variety of learning styles.
This course is taught at the high school level; therefore, a passing grade earns high school credit.
